The Senate and the Assembly committees on education joined forces Monday evening. They came together to discuss a bill that would extend all-day kindergarten programs.

Many teachers and representatives were present to testify in support of the bill. Assemblywoman Marilyn Dondero-Loop was a kindergarten teacher prior to joining the legislature and spoke about her previous experiences in the kindergarten classroom.

Dondero-Loop was just one of many at the hearing who explained why they think all-day kindergarten is necessary for Nevada students.
