Gov. Brian Sandoval today announced that beginning July 29th, the 150th anniversary license plates will be available at Nevada metropolitan Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) offices; the plates will be available at rural DMV offices beginning July 31st.
Starting July 9th, DMV offices will begin accepting orders for personalized anniversary plates.
Sandoval also said the plates will sell for $32.50. Of each sale, $25 will go toward supporting the state’s 150th anniversary festivities.
In June, Sandoval signed AB24, which allowed for the creation and sale of the limited edition license plates.
The limited edition design closely matches the state flag, with a “Battle Born” seal with a deep blue background. The words “The Silver State” line the bottom, alongside the dates 1864 and 2014.
The specialty plates will be available at the DMV until Oct. 31, 2016.
