Wolf Blitzer to speak at UNR’s 32nd Annual Foundation Banquet

The Tuscany Ballroom at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino will be filled with many of the area’s wealthiest and well-connected members this Wed. night for the University of Nevada, Reno’s 32nd Annual Foundation Banquet.

This is a large fundraising event for the university established back in 1981. With tickets at two hundred dollars a head and tables at $2,000 each, it has landed some big names in the past as keynote speakers, such as Buzz Aldrin, Steven D. Levitt, and Charles Duhigg. This year’s keynote speaker is Wolf Blitzer, anchor of CNN’s The Situation Room and Emmy Award winner for his coverage of the Oklahoma City Bombing.

According to Julie Gillen, university events manager, 800 guests are expected to attend the event—and tickets are sold out.
