The 94th Reno Rodeo kicks off on Thursday when the participants of this year’s cattle drive arrive at the Reno Livestock Events center with more than 300 rodeo steers.
According to a press statement released on Sunday, 60 participants will drive the cattle from Doyle, CA to the Reno over five days. Their arrival on June 20 marks the beginning of 10 days of rodeo events.
The rodeo is expected to bring more $40 million dollars to the local economy and some 140,000 attendees for the rodeo events, including—in addition to standard roping and riding events—a carnival, a Jeans & Jewels pageant, and even a Redneck Truck Show.
